Job Description:

Design and preparation of drawings, BOQ specifications, etc.in the following broad areas:
IP – MPLS system design, LTE system designs based on railway practice and inter-facing design to signaling equipment.
OFC network designing and Interface design to signalling equipment/circuits
Control phone communication network • Emergency Control Communication network with EP
Radio Communication, wireless communication, LAN, WAN
Telecom equipment:
Communication Based Train Control (CBTC),
European Train Control System (ETCS)
Global System of Mobile communication -Railways (GSM-r)
Passenger amenities, PA, Clocks, digital Indicators, Passenger Coach Guidance system etc.
SCADA, FOIS,
Preparation of Design Basis Note
Knowledge on Planning the phasing of Preliminary Design stage to Construction stage work.
Ensuring that designs maximize sustainability outcomes during design phase and over whole life of project.
Producing concept and outline design proposals that solve client challenges in the maintenance, renewal, and enhancement of railways.
Analysis and calculation for Signaling and Telecommunication components.
Liaise with the Client to understand their requirements and then design the optimal solution to meet their goals.
Site survey for preparation of SIP, Cable route plan, proposed shifting of gears etc.
Knowledge on preparation of tender documents and BOQ.
Consult with Consultants and provide continuous feedback on status of project regarding process-related issues.

Skills required:

Qualifications:

B. Tech/M. Tech in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from an accredited collage
Experience of 5-7 years in a similar role in Metro, LRT or Mainline railways
Good understanding of local and international design standards, RDSO, IR, IS, code & local authority requirements.
Knowledge of Green Building aspects
Having knowledge on preparing the reports of pre-construction activities such as Feasibility/Detailed Project Reports, etc.
