Graduate in Science and Electrical Engineering from Osmania University, Secunderabad, and Post Graduate in SME Business Management from IIM-A, with 35 years of professional experience covering marketing, business planning, and project management of rail infrastructure projects in India as well as overseas. He is one of the distinguished figures with cross functional experience in conducting & coordinating project feasibility studies, commercial documentation, and tender evaluation contract management, costing, and budgeting for railway projects covering urban transport, freight rail systems and passenger rail systems.

His experience in Project Management covers complex assignments in India, UK, Australia, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Malaysia and Singapore for metro rail, heavy haul, airport rail links, and regional rapid transit systems ranging in size from USD 20 million to 3 billion. He is a Member of American Railway Engineering Association, Consulting Engineers Association of India, Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport, and National Railway Task Force of CII.
