Conduct environmental impact assessments and develop mitigation measures for railway/metro projects
Develop and implement environmental management plans for railway projects and operations
Monitor and report on environmental performance, including air and water quality, waste management and sustainability initiatives
Conduct risk assessments
Provide technical expertise and support to other departments on environmental compliance and sustainability issues
Submitting reports/write-up/chapters covering all aspects of environmental issues in various documents such as ESIA, ESMP, FR, TFR,DPR, etc.
Keep up to date with relevant environmental legislation, regulations and standards
Work closely with external stakeholders, such as government agencies and environmental groups, to ensure that all environmental regulations are followed
Provide training and support to employees on environmental best practices and policies
Skills required:
Microsoft Office
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
10+ years of experience in environmental engineering and/or environmental management with prior experience in the railway/metro/road industry • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and standards, particularly in the railway industry
Knowledge of Green Building aspects
Having knowledge in preparing the reports of pre-construction activities such as Feasibility/Detailed Project Reports, etc.
