Conduct economic and financial analysis of railway/metro projects, including cost-benefit analysis, financial modelling and forecasting.
Evaluate and make recommendations on investment proposals, business plans and funding strategies for railway projects.
Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities associated with railway projects and provide advice on risk management strategies.
Analyse market trends and data to identify areas of growth and opportunity in the railway sector.
Work with stakeholders to develop and implement innovative financing mechanisms for railway projects, such as public-private partnerships, concession agreements and project bonds.
Prepare and present reports, presentations, and other materials to stakeholders, including government agencies, funding organizations, and the public.
Stay up to date with developments in the railway sector, including emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and market trends.
Collaborate with other experts and teams within the organization to support the overall strategy and goals of the railway sector
Provide technical expertise and support to other departments
Submitting reports/write-up/chapters covering all aspects of economics and finance in various documents such as FR, TFR, DPR, etc.
Keep up to date with relevant legislation, regulations and standards
Work closely with external stakeholders
Provide training and support to employees
Skills required:
Microsoft Office with command over Excel and other analaytical tools
Use of financial modelling packages
Qualifications:
Advanced degree in economics, finance, or a related field.
A minimum of 10+ years of experience in economic and financial analysis and advisory, with a focus on the railway/metro sector.
Strong knowledge of financial modelling, forecasting, and cost-benefit analysis techniques.
Having knowledge in preparing the reports of pre-construction activities such as Feasibility/Detailed Project Reports, etc.
